Heidelberg-based IT and software specialist strengthens commitment to regional sports promotion
New cooperation focuses on young top performers and marks the start of a major initia-tive to promote women
Heidelberg, June 25, 2019 – SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner SE, leading provider of software solutions and consulting services for IT transformation, is the new main sponsor of the women's basketball team BasCats USC Heidelberg. The partnership initially runs for three years and has started with great success: Shortly after signing the contract, the basketball team qualified for the first Bundesliga. By sponsoring the BasCats, SNP is fur-ther expanding its long-term commitment to sports promotion in the region. At the same time, the new cooperation marks the start of a major initiative to promote women in sports and IT professions.
SNP has been committed to sports in the region for many years. The company is a jersey sponsor of MLP Academics Heidelberg, sponsor of the Heidelberg charity regatta "Rudern gegen Krebs" (Rowing against Cancer) and the SRH Daemmer Marathon in Mannheim as well as premium partner of SV Waldhof Mannheim.

SNP starts "25/7" initiative to promote women in IT professions
SNP appreciates and acknowledges the commitment and enthusiasm of people who go beyond the standard for achieving their goals. This is a success factor of the IT company based in Hei-delberg. With the 25/7 initiative, whose name stands for the "extra mile", SNP now wants to promote women in IT professions in particular. In its anniversary year 2019, SNP now gives the go-ahead for the initiative. Collaborations with business incubators, start-ups and own activities are planned.
